About Heidi

Heidi grew up in Annapolis, Maryland. Her father owns a hardware store. She met Nathan Petrelli there when he was attending the Navel Academy. She was eighteen and couldn’t resist a man in uniform. They married shortly after meeting. Angela Petrelli never really cared for her.

After she married Nathan, Heidi went to college. She has a Ph.D in Fine Arts. She teaches art history and art theory at New York University. She has two sons, Simon and Monty, ages six and three. She spends a great deal of time working with various charitable organizations as well.

In April of 2006, Heidi was in a car accident that left her paralyzed from the waist down. Six months later, a literal miracle occurred that gave her the use of her legs again. Since then the ability to walk is not one she has taken for granted.
